Default shift selection issues and a part number no one can find

K lets get the part number out of the way 078 138 159 A its on the intake manifold and acuates something at above about 4500 rpms can't find it on the interweb and its sunday so all the parts stores around me are closed.

shifter issues. my wife missed a shift badly and now all the gears are at the limit of the shift levers throw. They go in but you have to push the shifter right to the edge of its range of motion whats the issue how do I fix it. I checked out the shift linkage(at the transmission end) allready and it seems to be where it supposed to be I just did the clutch so I figured that would be the place to start

did she bend a shift rod or something of that nature?

As for the part its a vacuum actuator. I found mine in the yard because i didn't want to explain it to a parts store.

if she bent a shift rod it would be at the bottum of the shift lever the reverse lockout is working but its fucky they look fine at the trans end. what I need to know is how important whatever the vaccum acuator works is so I know if I need to get a new one right away or if it can wait a few weeks I do a mixture of 300 plus kilometer highways trips twice a weeks and in town driving. I really don't want to get stuck on the side of the highway with a huge bill to foot if I screw the engine.
