Default SideSkirt Insight

So I found some S4 skirts for what I think is a pretty decent deal, and they are brilliant black, like my car.
I found elsewhere:
(4) lower door moldings- $80
(4) fender moldings- $60
(2) L brackets for connecting sideskirts- $40
(2) Plastic strips to mount velcro or 3m tape for skirts- $50
(4) lower door molding brackets- $60

So after emailing back and forth, he quoted me at $260 shipped, and I'm paying $90 for the skirts from another guy picked up. That puts the total to $350 so far, which is a bit more than I expected. What do you guys think? Also, do I need to modify my door sills or get S4 ones?
TIA

My understanding was that the black plastic sills get removed when the S4 skirts go on. Shoot a PM to member tware4021 - he put a set on his car this past year and can probably fill in the blanks for you.

this should help you out a bit. http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext47.shtml
you don't need to install those silver brackets they show. just use 3m double sided tape or velcro and the front and back brackets that will replace the mini mudflaps. oh and you'll have to cut off the huge flap on the sideskirts so they don't hang down. those silver brackets in the DIY are to secure the flap up but it's useless anyways

like J said, tware has done this recently so he can definitely tell you more but i told him how i would do it just like i told you lol

Cool, thanks Bingers... Ill pm tware just to get any info he might know of to ease the process... Ive put this off for sooo long, but now ive finally had enough of the ugly mis-colored a4 plastics and the dumb molding strips that rust and crack and fall off... I see B5's with just the white clips so often, it should be a recall. What do you guys think about the prices? I know its not terrible, but it seems like alot for mostly plastic, used brackets and ****. I offered them 200 instead of 260 and they quickly declined lol.

I'd say it's a good deal. New side skirts by themselves are $180 a piece from ECS, so I think $350 for everything is a damn good price.

I didn't realize you needed all that stuff for the S4 skirts. Pics when you get them or GTFO

I just got an email from the guy with the skirts, he said he broke the tabs taking them off the car and now they wont mount correctly. Shitty cuz I was going to drive up there on Sunday. So now I'm on the hunt for some brilliant black ones again if anyone finds some.
