i forgot to tell you guys,
after revving a couple times in that lot i saw a tiny bit of smoke coming from the engine, temperature was still fine but it was coming from the headers, higher end not lower.

a heat shield is exactly what is sounds like, it shields heat from your turbo to your intake so that you don't get as much hot air in the intake, thus lowering intake temps, thus creating more horse power, thus givving you quicker 1/4's

mine look nothing like that.
if you heat wrap from your headers all the wayy down to your exhuast will that give you more power too?

In theory, yes it might give you a small increase in HP, but right now I think you have bigger things to worry about then how much heat, your engine is producing.

Anyway I'm guessing you still have the Ko3 in there which is about the size of a newborn babies fist, so heat isn't a huge issue, it's when you swap out the turbo's for something a bit more potent that it becomes a concern.

What do your Coilpacks look like? I think that picture might have been from a passat so they might look a little bit different.
