Unhappy smoking out of the exhaust please help!!!!

I had a problem with blue smoke when stating my car. A4 2.8, well now after sitting for about a week i drove it today and now even accelerating it has blue smoke (not real bad but noticeable). Know problems that may be the cause this, pcv valve hose broken, im pretty sure i need valve cover gaskets. I was wondering is it possible if the center piece of valve cover gasket may be letting oil in cylinder? But wouldn't that only smoke upon start up? I don't think there would be that much of a flow of oil going in there but who know... Please any advice would be great, i just don't want to think the worse possible (rings).

No. The oil would have to get past the plugs.

Play out your PCV theory. The other possibilities are not good.

Black smoke=Oil Blue/white smoke=gas. I could be wrong, but it's just what this girl has always been taught

Yea, the others are rings or valve guides. Neither one an easy fix.

I've always seen oil smoke as a light blue color. White tends to be coolant.

If it only used to smoke after sitting for a while it's most likely valve guide seals, not a fun job.

yeah im beginning to think valve seals...better then rings. hopefully pcv valve...how exactly can you check pcv valve? I know my hose is literally missing unfortunately but i can get that fairly easy but the valve itself id rather check it then just hit and miss. And as far as the valve seals i guess there's no better time to do it then now, im getting ready to due both cam tensioners which i think is causing a miss in my car.
