Default So I made the mother of all heat sheilds

So I decided to make a better heat sheild than my old one. So I took some aluminium and away I went.

And it's not one,

not two,

But THREE air gap layers thick.

Now I just need some rubber for the top edge.

And the bent part is to hide my test pipe, for emissions tests. We'll see if that works.

Looks simular to the one that I made.

Looks good. I just used a weather strip from a junk car for the top of the heat shield.

you might want to sandwich insulation in between the layers. i bet that would significantly help with lowering IATs.

Thats the one suggestion I had, you can buy this stuff at Home Depot for $20, self adehsive stove insulation. Thats what I used on mine, I remember I drove my car pretty hard one night, and I could really feel the difference.
