i own a 98 a4 1.8t quattro and i want to upgrade to a ko4. what would be the best investment for that size turbo. i know its not big and alot of power but id rather have torque over horsepower.

all your maintenance done, vac lines nice and strong

you need the boost guage turbo, programing, fueling at least

you would want upgraded ic, either tp or h/f cat,more free flowing exhaust, more free flowing intake

 

i have everything done needed to upgrade and i have a giac chip for the ko4 mapping. i just heard that there were different versions of that size turbo and wondering if that is true. and if anyone was looking to part with one.

 

keep in mind that the bigger turbo with more boost is going to amplify any illness with your motor. so do all your maintenance first!
