they look a lot better with at least 20mm spacers

gDmM@NnY 10-27-2010 11:22 AM

so what setup would u recommend front and back? and are those stock size tires or stretched?

CCA4 10-27-2010 11:31 AM

20mm is gonna make your wheel bearings hate you

gDmM@NnY 10-27-2010 11:41 AM

so what size should i get?

20mm FTW! Oh wait, you said stock wheels. :p

Any size spacer will make your bearings wear faster, so it's up to you.

I'm glad this was posted as I've been thinking about this for a couple days now.

I'm running the same 16" 5 spoke wheels as your old B5 Aledelic, were you running spacers on yours?

NickBroderick 10-27-2010 03:27 PM

Yes, 20mm. That's why he posted the picture.

BaseDrifter 10-27-2010 03:30 PM

Shoulda thought that one through .

On another note, my sport wheel should be delivered today :D.

aledelic42 10-27-2010 03:38 PM

yeah those were the stock 16s. 20mm definitely killed both my rear bearings at that height. I now have the spacers on my sky high avant
