Spark Plug gap problem on NGK BKR6EKUB

I just bought the 40k mile service kit from ECS and the plugs that came with it are the dual electrode style. When I checked the gap it was much larger than spec for the A4. The gap was .045 when it should be .032. There is no way to adjust them so I am wondering if anyone has used them and if they had any trouble?

What do you mean there is no way to adjust them? I bought the similar plugs with the triple diode, and I adjusted them to .032 with the plug gapping tool. No problems doing that.

The electrodes on this are every short and stiff. There is no movement to them. I have used the triple ones on other cars and they had a lot more play to them. With these there is nothing. I have a gapping tool and there is no chance of getting that in there. About the only thing you could do with this is put it in a vise and use a hammer and punch to try and adjust it.

plugs like those come "pre-gapped." Make sure you have the right ones. If you got them at AutoZone, or some other big box auto store, chances are the 16 year old kid behind the counter had no idea which ones to give you...

Yeah I don't think you can run those.

Probably best to return them and get the proper plugs.

Just get the BKR6E (v-power) plugs. They're like 2 bucks a piece. I heard there's no noticeable difference between them and the fine tip platinum ones.

They were in a maintenance kit from ECS Tuning specifically for my car. You would think they they would send the right plug.

You are not supposed to gap triple electrode spark plugs. They come pre-gapped and should stay that way.

I have been running Bosch F6DTC plugs for many years just like they are right out of the box and thats pushing 37psi and making 650awhp.

Woe. I had no idea your car was pushing that much psi. That's awesome. So what's the gap on those Bosch plugs anyway??
