Speaker replacement
 

ok 2001 audi a4 with bose system and factory installed stereo. The passenger side front speaker (not the tweeter) needs to be replaced. Its very staticy and is blown. how big is the speaker (in inches) and where is the best place to buy one?

I took this one out of 1999 Audi a4.

I just bought a 01 A4 and I'm having the same problem with the passenger side speaker. My brother who is a former Porsche tech, had heard of the problem with the Bose system before and told me to search the forum. This will hopefully be very insightful and save you a ton of $$$!
