While I can't speak on their quality, I'm sure either would be fine. Those two spoilers seem to be the most popular spoilers used on B5s. Take into account what the 3rd light wiring entails. That seems like the shadiest part of the install.

Personally, I would go for the lip spoiler unless I had a more aggressive stance, in which case the full spoiler might be more fitting for my taste. To each their own

The only big *** spoiler that belongs on a B5 is the one for the Rieger V2 kit. Even then, a lip would look sexy as hell on that kit.

That seems ridiculous....forget matching the paint then. The big issue is the prep.

I painted mine prior to mounting to the trunk, as I didn't want to tape off the entire rear just to paint the lip on the trunk. Trouble is, there is a slight curve to the trunk lid that the spoiler needs to follow.

As I indicated earlier, it looked good for about 2-3 month before the cracking of the paint started. I used flex and adhesion promoter when I painted so I figured it shouldn't have cracked, but still did. I guess to ensure the paint still looks good close to $100 wouldn't be too bad.

$100 is pretty much the going rate for a lip to be prepped and paint matched, thats what most of the guys here who have had a shop do it paid, and is what I paid for mine to be done. Couldn't be happier.

Yes, I would say pay the $100 bucks, the job will be guaranteed and you'll know everything will be done by a professional.
