Ok so i replaced my departed 96 a4 got a 00 a4 1.8t ATW quattro automatic tiptronic. When accelerating getting into boost the car starts to sputter does t backfire or anything like that just sputters in 2500-4000rpm range

Yes like that but no issue with fuel lines and no gas smell anywhere

 

So your thinkin maybe the breather hose setup and causing it to loose boost. Should i do a boost leak teat and see if its leaking anywhere

 

Im thinkin that the breather hose is causing a vacuum leak which is causing the sputter. Im a noob so I dont really know but from the research I did thats what makes the best sense to me. Try to check the crankcase ventilation system (breather hose all the way back) and see if theres a leak. Like I said, Im a noob so if anyone else has an idea/opinion please correct me or add to. Ok scanned the car and got a P0457 code for evap leak any idea on this code looked it up and couldn't find anything

 

Ok replaced the broken breather hose but right before i did it it started to run rough like misfire so replaced the broken breather hose buttoned it all up started it still running rough like misfire

Changed plugs and swapped out coil packs still running like misfire no check engine light on no access to vagcom and not drivable like that
