Default Is steering knuckle threaded? Audi A4 1.8T Quattro (1999)

I was replacing one of the front right (upper) control arms and as I was removing the bolt that holds the two upper ball joints, the head of the bolt snapped. I've exhausted every possible way of getting it out. I'm thinking of using air tools to just pop it out but I'm not sure if it's threaded into the knuckle or if it was just the nut holding it?

Can anyone verify for me if there are threads in the knuckle? If there are then I'll have to weld the nut to the bolt.

thanks!

I don't believe it's threaded. I just got done doing all of my front control arms and when I had to deal with that bastard bolt (aka Pinch Bolt) this is what I had to do. I cut the bolt at both ends via the gap between the pinch point. If that makes sense. Then I drilled that bastard out very carefully. A little work but it seemed to be the quickest solution at the time.

You aren't the first to encounter this problem my friend. Let us know how you do.
