Stereo wiring

Anyone know how to wire a Amp and sub into the '98.5 Audi Concert non-Bose system. Also anyone know if it has a subwoofer or not? whether its powered or not?

i did this in my last car, a 2000 subaru legacy gt. the way I had to do it was splice into the two back speaker wires and take the signal from them, rather than through rca's on the back of the head unit (which it doesn't have). your amp will have to have speaker level inputs and the ability to run stereo or mono (i think you'll want to run mono for the power increase)my subi had a powered subwoofer, but i disconnected it from a small coupler that subaru was nice enough to give me, since it basically sucked. The rest is just running the power cable form your battery, and the ground to some random chassis screw for proper grounding for the amp. oh and the signal cable that runs into the signal cable to the head unit. It's a lot of splicing and taping and remvoing of your seats to run the cable properly and keep it out of sight. If your a bit under-confident id take it to a car-audio store and have them do it. it's about an hour of work for them.
