I was driving my 2000 1.8T Audi A4 back to school today and a few times this weird message started flashing in the LED dash display, right where u usually see MPG etc. The message was a flashing 2:COh or 4:COh, with the "h" as a subscript...like its some sort of chemical equation. I have no idea whats this means and google and yahoo searches dont really return any results.

 

Nobody had it? I just got one today, that is flashing "2 hours"
What da heck is it?
I know I am due for service, but that was different message.

 

You know you could change the information display right?

It's not just MPG display but you can view miles to empty, current MPG, average MPG, and such.

 

2 hours means youve been driving for 2 hours...this is an old *** thread, but im assuming the message was some kind of glitch

 

Got the manual today. Seems that for some reason Audi want the driver to take a break every 2 hr that is why it display the message.
Manual is not giving a way to turn the annoying flasher off. I found couple of topics on the subject, but didn't find a way to disable it permanently.
Is everybody else taking a break every 2 hr?
