Superchargers for 2.8's
Is there any other companies other than PES that makes a supercharger for Audi's?
If the right kind of fabrications are made is there anyway to use a supercharger from another car in a Audi? I know the basics of a supercharger but if adding one to a car will you need a new engine management control system? |
You can use basically any supercharger if you can fit it.

Pes is the only one

To elaborate a bit more on previous posts, PES is the only company who (used to) make super chargers specifically designed for the B5 2.8 platform. That said, there's no reason you couldn't build a custom set up. Given enough time and money, anything is possible. *However*.. As is the case with any truly custom set up, this would require a lot more leg work and customization on your part. Getting hands on a PES tune from somebody is hard enough, no one is going to make an off-the-shelf tune for any kind of super charger set up. This means you're going to have to take your completed car to a shop (provided you DIY) and have them put it on a dyno and write a custome tune for it. This means buku $$$. I'd love to see a build thread if you end up doing it! |
I have been looking around for a supercharger and it seems as if the superchargers off of cobalts are cheap and small. Not sure if they will be to small for a V6 but it is worth a shot and if it doesn't work I will just toss it in my gf's cobalt.
Where does the PES supercharger mount onto? |
