Default Suspension advice

I am planning on upgrading my suspension soon but have a problem with loosing ride hight in the winter and don't want to have to change it every spring and fall. I currently have the sport suspension but the rears are starting to clunk so I am sure they are in need or replacing. I was just wondering what everyone that lives in the snowy climates do in the winter as far as suspension tuning. Any help would be great.

I've high centered 3 times this week and scrape a few times on every drive with sport suspension. Some places I just can't go with the roads how they are and just deal with it.

He's on the stock sport suspension. (maybe H&R sport..?)

It really depends how bad the snow is where you are. I've seen guys with 4" of ground clearance go through 6-8" of snow. Do you get light, dry snow or wet heavy snow where you live? If it's light you should be fine dropped.

I've heard that it's easier to just switch to stock suspension for the winter and go coilovers or spring/shocks in the summer than having to raise the coilovers. I know my coilovers are a PITA to change ride height on, so that makes sense to me.

I live in northern Michigan where we have lots of snow. I hate to buy a new setup now and have to buy another set up in the spring/summer. A friend of mine has a 90 Quattro and has a bilsteins and lowering springs on his and goes through close to the same amount as me but he cares less about how is bumpers look and how much be bottoms out. I may just wait until spring and get a new setup because it only clunks over big bumps on the back roads.

What coilovers are you using?

Are coilovers really that much of a pain in the *** to adjust? Or does anyone know of a brand that is good (ride and performance) but also easy to adjust?
