Would this be a quality part to put on my car?
H&R® Race Lowering Springs 96 01 Audi A4 Quattro AWD

It lowers my car the amount that I want it lowered and is cheaper than the coilovers I originally wanted to buy. But from the name of the website I found it on I'm not all too sure if this is a quality part or just another part for the typical riced out car. Let me know what you think, or if you can find better springs.


As far as exhaust goes, I bought an Apexi N1 muffler (for those of you who don't know, its the run of the mill fart cannon, and it was 20 bucks) and people are telling me it would be dumb to put on my car, which is true, but my car is barely worth 3 grand anymore, so I don't care so much if it makes it look bad or whatever.

On the other hand, I have always wanted to just get rid of the mufflers altogether, and just keep the cats. I've heard it before and it sounds cool, but will the lack of pressure in my exhaust mess with my engine? Will it be too loud?

H&R makes a quality product, but you're going to want to consider some upgraded shocks. I ran Bilstein Sports with Neuspeed Race on my B5 and loved it. I can't vouch for the site, but if you're that concerned about it check out ECS Tuning. I've spent more than enough money with them and they've never done me wrong.

Potentially. I know a few people have done springs only and not had a problem, but I can't say whether or not they were running something as aggressive as H&R Race. Most of us like to just play it safe and do springs and shocks at the same time.
