Default swapping ATW to AEB head

I have searched around and can't seem to find if this is ok to do. I found that the AEB is the better head, but I don't know if I can swap mine out for one without having to retune or anything. Anyone know?
Will I need new studs, and such as well?

The AEB head has larger ports, so it flows better. I think you need to port and polish the block where the intake mani bolts up for it to be effective, but not sure. Check on audizine, there are more threads about it over there.

since they both use the same block i would assume you use the same 11mm head bolts or studs. you do have to replace the stock ones each time you remove the head so you need new ones anyway. you shouldnt have to retune. you will obviously need the intake manifold off the AEB for this to be of benefit. im not sure if the throttle body hooks up the exact same way so you might need to modify that a little. DBCable and DBWire TBs might have different dimensions. also you might need to modify the vacuum connections of the manifold to fit your car, they are slightly different between the years.

What did it take to do? Did you have to modify anything?

Been running a AEB head on my ATW block for 6 years now.

You will only see a gain if your running a GT28rs or larger turbo. The smaller ports help increase the velocity on the K03/K04/GT28r.

You can run your ATW intake manifold on the AEB head, you will just need to run a tapered IM gasket.

Ok so now things have shifted again, and it looks like i will be purchasing a AEB head. When you say a tapered IM gasket, does that mean a AEB gasket, or do i have to modify my ATW gasket?
