Sway bar sizing?

Sway bar sizing?
I didnt think it would be too hard to find the OE size for the rear sway bar, but all i can dig up is aftermarket sway bars. now, that was essentially my goal since im looking to upgrade the sway bars, but i just wanted to know how thick the rear sway bar is from the factory for reference. I have an 01' 2.8 quattro with sport package.
With that said, i was looking at a rear sway bar from Whiteline, on Horsepower Freaks. its 20mm adjustable, and seems prett legit. But im not sure what i should be looking for. with sway bars, is it just "the thicker the better?" just need some basic info.
thanks in advance

I think that your original rear bar is 15mm with the sport package. Thicker bars will be stiffer As it gets stiffer, you will tend to induce oversteer if you don't upgrade the front bar as well.
If you do get a larger rear bar, make sure that it comes with reinforcement brackets for the rear subframe. Aftermarket rear sway bars have been known to crack the subframe without additional reinforcement.

Yes I intend on buying the front as well. What exactly do you mean by subframe braces? Because I've been looking as sway bar kits all night and none of them come with anything like that. Not that I noticed anyway

If you are getting both, I would highly suggest this package deal:
MJM Autohaus
I guarantee it'll be the lowest package price you'll find anywhere... that's where I got mine (albeit for my FWD A4). You can also see the Neuspeed rear subframe brace.
EDIT:
Just noticed the front bar is out of stock. Not sure what the deal is there, since MJM would most likely drop-ship the sway bars direct from Neuspeed.
