Default tail light and break light out

Hey,

My left tail light and break light are out and I'm pretty sure it isn't the bulb. I tried replacing the bulb a couple times and it's still not working. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before, or anyone could lead me in the right direction as far as what it could be. Thanks in advance!

Try taking the bulb out, turning it 180 degrees, and reinstalling it. The height of the side pegs on the bulb base, relative to the bottom, is different but close so it's possible to install the bulb "wrong". I had that problem when I first got my car. Try that and see if it helps - basically put it back into the bulb tree so that the peg A goes into the slot of the bulb socket where peg B was when you removed the bulb. It may do nothing for you, but in my case it fixed the nonfunctional brake bulb that was driving me crazy for a week or so.

Whats a break light? Make sure your wiring harness is snug and no wires are severed, stripped, or rotted looking.

I thought of somethin last night but was too lazy to get out of bed to post. In my bronco, i changed the brake lights and didn't use any dielectric grease (kinda looks like peanut butter) and within a couple months they had corroded and crapped out. Maybe check to make sure the bulbs/connectors aren't corroded?

If it's the fuse then your park lamp/turn signal(not sure if the turn will work) will also not work on that side. They are both under the same fuse.
