Default TCM Module gone

Hey there,

New to this but great to be around, this is a great website and everyone is pretty on to it and cool.

So any way I need a new TCM for my Audi A4 1997 1.8L.
Unless I wanna go pay $1500 to a stealership for a new one.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Looking as cheap as possible too if I can manage.

Part number: 01N927733CF

Thanks

Why do you need a new TCM? "TCM module gone" as in MIA? The cheapest place you are going to find one is ebay, craigslist, or a junkyard. That is if you're looking for a used one.

Yeah I guess a new one would be nice but thats just emptying my pockets, a used one would be ideal though, Ive searched a few places but just thought id put a post up in here to see if anyone had anything?

Thanks though

Oh and I need a new one because the old one was shorted out because of the footwell flooding, drain under the battery was clogged and it spilled up and into my car. Didnt think much of it, but yeah, turns out it writes off a moderately critical bit of the car (its undrivable now).
