Default Tell me what you think about my new car!

He's willing to accept $1800, and I think I can get him down to $1500 or less. It aint pretty, but I see a lot of potential/project

I'm waiting on more detials. I wouldn't have to get rid of my Audi either.

This would so be the car that sits in the garage and slowly transforms into the ultimate toy for me

I think you should sell your car, buy Arif's, and then buy me some RS4 reps with the money you'll save.

I think its a steal! All you have to do is drop the tranny and replace the syncros, shouldn't cost you more than $200 in parts.

I don't think anything will work out with me getting arif's car. I wouldn't be able to sell my car fast enough for how quick he needs to get rid of his. I like the idea of this car because it's cheap and would be a fun project. I doubt the tranny problem is as bad as the seller thinks. I just offered $1200. If he goes for it I'll probably have another silver B5 in my garage tomorrow

Don't forget, it might just be a clutch issue. If the clutch isn't fully depressing then it won't go into gear, either way its really not an expensive fix. The manual tranny really isn't that hard to build, even AAMCO can do it........maybe

He rejected $1200. Said it was a "little" less than what he was trying to get. Maybe $1500 is the sweet spot....
What do you guys think this car would be worth after the tranny is fixed? This information is for wife convincing purposes I lost my secret checking acct. years ago

The car has the sport cloth interior, and depending on how good the interior condition is you could get around 7K for it i think.

No way 7K. I'd say it's probably not worth trying to resell it, or if you did, maaaybe 4K.
