a 50trim is a very popular setup. It will make what you are looking for a much more. You will sacrafice a little bit of spool (and respool), but it is easier on your rods and a complete setup is usually around $3200. If you know how to buy, it can be had for a few hundred less also

What a surprise. A k04 owner that's hungry for more. Well if you want a good daily driver that has a good kick then the GTRS is a quick, easy upgrade. Tried and true by many bt owners. But then you may want more. Without throwing rods in the 2871r is probably the best balanced turbo. Sufficiently quick spool and good top end power. Easily set you @ 300awhp. You'll need 550cc's, fmic with at least a 600 core (good for approx 400whp), exhaust, tip no need for an mbc, and mani if you don't get the eliminator set up.

yea it all started out with a lower budget bt upgrade for me, now im over 13grand deep into it with a stroked motor making over 2Liters. Have fun. it always cost way more than expected and alot of people on here will tell you its cheaper than it is. This is with doing all the work myself except for machining and buliding the shortblock. Now im even moving from the t3/t4 to a 35r... You think you'll be happy with the power but you always want more.

I'm guesssing this is not gonna be a street 35r huh? Lol. My dream DD would be a bottom built 3071r .63. Or a weekend car would be a 2.0 3076r but a 35r is insane. More than what I want in a DD

I heard about what happened to your car, on evolutionm of all places. Im scared to hear what happens with you driving a 35r. I hear you on the cost, it never stops growing. But you will love a stroked engine. Just keep the c/r above 9:1 and you will have a good DD even out of boost

I drove my car on the street all the time with a 2 liter GT35r pushing 20psi back when it was my daily driver, did that for 3 years even got 30+ mpg on the fwy. It is not nearly as bad as you think it would be.

Considering the fastest thing I've driven was a SRT-10
Viper and a 360 Modena I dunno how a high hp boosted car drives. I've just heard its a pain. But I won't know til I drive one.

Yeah ill probably go with the elim setup since its fairly cheap and will fit my budget. Am i looking at about a 3in. exhaust? How does a testpipe do with CEL's. Considering it has o2 bungs in it. Also if i were to go 2.0l where can i get software?

considering what you said you wanted from your car, you arent going to go 2 liter. to answer your question tho, it requres a big turbo file tuned for whatever injectors you are running. unitronics has good software for it. but any software will require extensive tweaking when you get into this territory. for an elim setup 2.5" or 2.75" exhaust is more then enough. you only sometimes get a CEL from the rear O2 sensor due to the fact that there is no more cat. you can put a spacer between the sensor and the pipe to take it out of the exhaust flow, or get your software tuner to get rid of the CEL that way.

edit: if you are considering going big big turbo, look at my post at the bottom of the page here to get a feel for what exactly what is required.
