Default tip inop at certain times.. need help chasing this one down

hey guys its been awhile school has got me me busy but im back for help

lately ever since i replaced my cv axle my car has been acting up. whenever the i first start the car it works perfect but any time i drive the vehicle and it gfet to operating temp if i turn it off to go in the store or something i come out and my tip is inop and seems like the transmission is in a safe mode. not only that but when letting off the gas car feels like it wants to die and if i drive it long enough like that the pedal starts to become unresponsive i can put it all the way to the floor and it wont go anywhere for a couple seconds and then finally act like im accelarating normally not like my foot is to the ground on the pedal.

i do have two codes 1565 and 0123 that both point to the tps correct?

also something that has been going on for awhile that i think may be relevant when i **** from park to reverse pulling out of my driveway it really SLAMS in to gear you can feel the back pull up and the same happens for shifting into drive... any help?

Scan the car through VAG-COM and see what comes up. Maybe the multifunction switch is faulty.

Wrong. Those both have to do with the throttle body and the throttle cable. That might explain your throttle response complaint.

Your Tips problem might be unrelated. When you throw it into Tips and get no lights at all, that sounds like a very common problem with that system. The switch in the shifter is some magnets that tend to fall out. When they do, no Tips and no Tips lights. See more here:

This may help:

P1565 - Audi

Type:
Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled

Description:
Throttle control unit - lower stop not reached

Cause:
Throttle valve tight/sticking, ISC actuator

Notes:
Throttle control unit incorporates the following components: TP sensor, CTP switch (if fitted), ISC actuator/position sensor or throttle motor/position sensor.

P0123 - Generic

Type:
Powertrain - Fuel and Air Metering - ISO/SAE Controlled

Description:
Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit High

For the transmission to shift properly the TCM and ECM need to know the throttle position. The axle change or the TCM have nothing to do with your problem. The codes point to the TPS, or if the car uses "drive by wire" the throttle control unit is bad. (very expensive)

Ya I dont think it's the magnets deal because it works perfectly fine before it warms up.

But Pete that explanation helps out a lot because if the tranny can't tell there throttle is when shifting it would Proly make it shift and maybe even kick my tip off because it's getting bad signals. 98 Audi a4 2.8 fwd. I know I have a tps but Is that drive by wire?
