Default Tire Size Question

I found a set of wheels on craigslist for a winter setup.
The wheels are 18x8 with a 35 offset.

The Tires on them are 2x 245/40/18
AND 2x 265/35/18
Blizzaks

I need to know if these would affect the quattro or not?

If you calculate the difference its a 1.6% change in diameter.
I believe Quattro has as much as a 3% tolerance for diameter?
But it would be nice to hear from someone more educated on wheels.

I believe that the B5 models support a 57.1mm offset by default. Keep that in consideration. Since those are big wheels, make sure you have enough clearance for bumps on the road.

Some a**holes put huge wheels on a car that has been lowered too far. Then it looks stupid and performs like a Ford Model T

I believe the center bore is 57.1
The stock offset I think is somewhere around 35.

And this is for a winter setup and I need 18"+ wheels to clear my A8 brakes

Oh your right.

If your getting winter tires, look into the company Nokian. Hands down best winter tires on the planet.

both sets of my wheels are 45 offset, so those might be a tide wide, especially the 265's. unless you got hella rolled fenders, I think its a no go

Sell the tires on there for some 225/40/18s and you be good to go. The narrower the better when it comes to Winter wheels anyway.

Stock 16" wheels clear the A8 brakes just fine.
