transmission fluid
I just changed the transmission fluid, thought I'd share it with you. Obviously the old stuff is on the left. Lifetime fluid my a**- after changing it, my shifts are definitely smoother ESPECIALLY between 1 and 2. It's great!

oh yeah, and it was really easy too~ 20min. The longest part was getting the car on jack stands. And wear some gloves when you take off the fill and drain plug... one wrong slip ... ouch!
I bought a $5 pump from Autozone. Any auto store shouldcarry something simliar. By the way, you'll notice that the black nozzle has a winged tip. Besure to break it off before you insert it in the fill hole... the tip slipped in while I was pumping... close call, I had to fight to get it out without breaking the pieces in the tranny.

I have a question on this subject, My sister previously owned an a4 and i remember her having someone drain the trannyout to change the fluid then after they did, they had to take it to a dealer to fill it back up (which cost an ungodly amount of money just to put tranny fluid back in). Is this just for the that auto trannys?I cantremember if hers was auto or manual, it was a long time ago. I know i read about it but never found a defenate answere, sounds like u filled urs up with no probs. Im just curious because i would like to do this on mine soon.
