Stern is releasing its newest Pro Mount Transmission mount.

This transmission mount is part of the new stern line of performance enhancements for the Audi and VW vehicles. This mount is designed as an upgrade to the soft factory transmission mounts which come standard with these vehicles.

A unique engineered design allows this new mount to offer a progressive feel, eliminating vibrations at idle, but offering great control when needed. Medium durometer polyurethane provides a long lasting wear medium encased in a durable aircraft aluminum housing.

Features:
•Factory fitment
•Heavy duty durable design
•Progressive damping
•Completely serviceable

B5 A4 1.8t = For Passenger side only
B5 A4 2.8 = For Both sides

Special price for Pre-orders up till 11/20/2009.

Clean! They going to offer anything for the rear end? It seems like my stock mounts allow for to much wrap and allow the pinion to raise under hard shifts.

*edit* found it and good price to! Thx

I guess you are talking about the rear diff.

Would you agree, Mike, that the further "back" in your driveline, the softer you should go with the mounts/bushings? I am of that opinion. i.e. your engine mounts should be harder (or at least as hard as) your transmission mount, etc.

that looks nice!

I would say they should be as hard or nearly as hard since the whole driveline is going to try and twist when the tq starts to hit.

Thats the nice thing about this new transmission mount from Stern, it is soft enough so there will be less or no vibration at idle and then becomes harder as the transmission starts to twist when you start making more tq.

But would you agree, at least, that they shouldn't be harder? I'm not trying to discourage people or anything, just that I bought the 034 street density motor mounts... Not sure what I'll be using for a transmission mount yet.

I would say softer transmission mounts vs motor mounts for a street car. This stern transmission mount would be a good choice.
