Trashed Trans 97 2.8 5sp
Drove 3.5 hours yesterday to pick up a used DWM with just under 100K, from a 99 for $340.
It came with the shifter, linkages and fairly new mounts still attached.
The problem I'm having is when i get it lined up it doesn't seem to want to slide all the way in and when i do get it bolted to the engine the clutch pedal has zero resistance it just goes to the floor but when i pull it back off the clutch cylinder seems to be working fine.
I even rotated the output shaft to make sure the splines were lining up and it was moving the flywheel so I have no idea what I going wrong and I'm really getting sick of pulling it off, bolting it back up and getting nowhere.
Any ideas?
