Exclamation Trying to fix a few things up. Fogs, C/C etc...

Hey guys, So I bought my 98.5 A4 1.8t about 3 weeks ago.
Love the car first German car and I love it.

Problem #1

Anyway, I cant get my fogs to work...

I replaced the fuse,
and I also replaced the bulbs with brand new Silverstar bulbs.

The Fog buttons light up and work fine. Even the rear fog works!
However, the front don't. If I take out the fuse the buttons dont
light up, so Im thinking its somewhere between the button and the front fogs.

But I have no clue and don't know if this is a normal problem or not?

Anyway help??

Problem #2

2nd thing, I cant seem to get my cruise controle to work.
Fuse is fine, it's hooked up under the hood etc so I dont know....

Anyway help?

Problem #3

And last but not least, I can't get my Headlight washers to work.
Once again, the fuse is fine! They just dont seem to pop up or anything.

I wonder if somewhere a relay, wire or Something is affecting these three
things. But I have no clue and really would like to get this stuff fixed.
I want the front fogs to work more than anything....

Problem #4

There seems to be a sensor on the bottom of my oil pan, What is that?
Mine isn't hooked up to anything. So Is this a problem?????????

Here is a pic of the sensor type of thing. Also guessing that line ziptied to the bar isnt good....

WILL YOU PLEASE go out and see if there is anything plugged up to your oil pan like that?????!!!!!

Problem/Question #5

I found this line just under the intake for the turbo,
it's blocked off and taped up. Here are two pics, What is it, what does it do?

Thanks!

#4 - the plastic thing that is zip-tied to the bar is your power steering cooler. usually it sits in the front underneath the radiator - your previous owner put it there for some reason.

the air filter should be in a big-ish black box on the passenger side of the car at the front corner. you'll definitely want to pick up a filter ASAP, lest you suck a rock (or small animal) into your turbo.

as far as the headlight washers - take off the belly pan and check the hose on the driver's side of the car, should be inside the bumper close to the foglight area. it comes from the washer reservoir and has a connection to another hose that goes to the bumper. i blocked off the hose cause I think the headlight washers are stupid - your previous owner may have done that too.

1) fog lights only work when the headlights are on.

2) cruise control could be a bad module or bad switch

3) headlight washers only come up when the headlight is on or if you flash the high beams while spraying

4) that's your power steering cooler, as you can see there's a bracket for it to be mounted. usually it's mounted at the bottom of the condenser in front of the car but it should be fine where it is.

I know the fogs only come on with the headlights on.... What I said the problem was
is When the Headflights Are on. lol ofcourse they wont work with them off.
And yes I know the washers only come on with the lights on too.

#4 isnt what Im asking, I don't care about the line. I want to know what that sensor
looking thing is on the bottom of my oil pan.
