Turbo issue
 

1997 a4 1.8tq...Scan numbers are not matchin up except at high rpm? Wastegate opening too frequently because computer is telling it to open 40%. I know the backdoor fix to this is to get a manual boost controller but what is the actual fix? New k03/new dv/new n75/ replaced all leaky vac/pressure lines

40% is one of the block values mechanic got guessing feedback from maf... when we clamped the n75 line I have full boost with no issues but before we replaced the k03 it would buck when we did that

The original problem was intermittent turbo. Then when the turbo would kick in it would buck like crazy. We have been troubleshootin for a month and about $2000! We replaced alot of vac leaks that we found with the smoke machine. Replaced the bosch chip on the airbox. Then the n75. Then the dv. Then the k03 after the oil supply sprung a leak. When we took it out it was all cracked up. There were no error codes only code we ever got was when we tried usin a used ecu from the same car except the computer came outta a automatic and mine is a 5sp. so it was lookin for tranny. Otherwise no codes at all ever
