Well like I said it's going to be a build over time. Even a stock S4 isn't that fast.

Either way I found a 99 1.8T with a 5 speed manual tranny. Bought it for 1k it needs a top end rebuild but the rest of the car looks great.

As for the engine build, I'll probably rebuild the top end of that one cheap so I can drive it but I'm also buying a 2.0 stroker kit that's coming with the block already machined for the 2.0 mods. It has forged pistons and rods with it as well as all the bearings and what not. It's a start towards my goals. It may cost more in the end but it's money I can spread out over time.

Thanks for the user! I've seen some S4 trannies for 800-1k bucks. I figured if you're going to blow through that many standard A4 transmissions with that kind of power it seems like the S4 tranny would be a good upgrade. He made it sound like the S4's drivetrain was better anyways.

The 2.0T kit I found on ebay for 1300 so figured it was a nice price considering it had the block and everything. I think I'm going to buy a set of new bare heads for it and get them ported and what not. So pretty much a custom engine build. We'll see how it turns out should be fun at the very least. The block came with JE pistons. He said the Rods can take up to 24psi.

The head has a bent valve from the timing belt jumping a tooth. Should be pretty easy fix.

I'm guessing pretty much anything from the S4 will fit the A4? Does it have a different rear end, transfer case, and what not. Wonder if the drive train parts are able to handle more power then the A4's.

everything from the s4 will fit! even the engine ummm for the standard tranny it holds 330hp and for the s4 its the same finial drive as the 5 speed but im not sure if it is stronger i know the s4 guys gotta send there tranny out to get built tougher at a certain point but im not sure how much hp they will hold

Well, I may build my engine to where it's capable of the power I want but only put a slightly upgraded turbo for now. Work on getting the tranny and stuff done in the mean time I suppose.
