do u know a good mechanic by ur area that can do this job but alittle bit cheaper? im like 3 hours from sacramento, im willing to drive ...
www.2bennett.com they are in Davis, their labor rate is around $80 an hour. Give them a call for a price quote to change the tensioner, valve cover gasket and cam adjuster seal.
Its still gonna be around $900 i think. I would do it but i really don't feel like it....

What would it take for you to do it? A cookie? Two cookies?
Why's it so expensive anyways? It looks like it should take a decent shop about an hour.

it seems that its not that hard, however, just for curiosity, my car didnt have this part for about two days,(it burned cuz a mistake of a mechanic) and i noticed that the noise of the tensioner came during that period, could that be the reason that the tensioner failed?
