2.8 30v

When first starts up it runs and functions fine. After a bit of driving it will hit a rev limit at 5k and the speedo just drops. Can't figure out the problem or even where to start. All the wires have been checked and everything. Bad sensor?

 

were thinking its a heat related issue. TPS maybe?

 

Do you have an OBDII reader than can display throttle angle (while driving)? This may be a way to diagnose the throttle body.

 

I lost my vag com but ill get it set up today d check that. The generic one won't scan.

A even weirder problem with the same car...

We took the harness out and we had the maf and can postion sensors plugged in backwards. The car scanned and told us those two were throwing codes. We fixed it and now the car runs fine but won't scan...... No clue.
