I always knew those ss filters were crap, heck I've seen most flash rust to the point where they suck In more rust than air . the apexi one did surprise me though.

I looked at that URL and they said this one was made from 304 SS. That won't rust because of more nickel content. 400 series stainless will rust. If you want to see if its a good one touch it with a magnet. If the magnet won't stick its 300 series and will not rust.

Good Luck...

I went with the K&N filter because it was the only one I could find besides the noname brand my HKS was filthy been a while since it was cleaned car actually idles better now lol very noticeable difference.
Needed to mod the bracket though as K&N is much longer than the short & shout HKS filter.

While I was in there I came up with an evil plan to get a 90 degree bend and run the air filter further down maybe get some cooler air. but alas the light faded and tools got put away.

What top end? K03 and K04 blow their load too early to take advantage of top-end gains.

Admit it. Cone filters are for noise and packaging, not performance gains.
