I have a Audi A4 1.8t, the gearbox seems a bit tight and changing gears can be difficult. I am thinking of doing a gearbox oil change. Just wondering what oil to put in? Have heard that people put in ATF?

hahah lol. when i got mine changed my audi mechanic told me that he used synthetic tranny oil, just get any synthetic oil and it should work.
btw just to let you know, it is a pain in the *** to do it yourself as you need a special tool to pump the oil in from the bottom. i would recommend getting it done by your mechanic.

 

Yes I put In Castrol Edge Sport 5W-30, but now wish I put in Motul.
