What is this moving part under the intake manifold? [video]

Hey guys,

I changed the downpipe on my B5 A4 yesterday because the flex joint was broken and after the repair I noticed this very weird noise coming from the engine bay.

I don't know if it is related to me changing the downpipe (I don't think so) but I noticed this part oscillating under the intake manifold and it is making a loud noise. The noise appears to be this part knocking into something because the noise is in sync with the movement.

What is this part? What is going on there?

Thanks for any help.

That looks like the Breather Tube to me. Remove the fuel rail, move the coolant tank out of the way, get a friend to supply a third hand, buy the kit with the Tube, the Tee, and the little one way pcv valve, and be ready for frustration working under the manifold. See my post from Oct 13 below.

I'm not a 1.8T guy, but nothing that I see in your picture should be moving. Maybe something is loose/broken.

After taking a closer look I discovered it is indeed the crankcase breather, this part specifically:

Gonna go OEM or 034?

The 034 one is very nice but I am strapped for cash right now so I will just go OEM.
