What weight

Default What weight

Ok so 96 a4 12v v6 in the winter months I get a lot of condinsation in the valve cover but only winter time so the oil weight would be issue I'm in ohio what do you guys run in the cold winters

All cars get condensation inside the engine. One of the byproducts of combustion is H20 aka water. As far as weight 5w30 0r 5w40 full synthetic would be fine.

You say try synthetic though. It has 251k on it is that to late in its life to start that

Pre 00' cars can use regular oil.

Ok thanks one more thing bought a new oil cooler cause my was leaking how tight do you make the bolt for the new oil cooler and gasket

Totally off-topic (Sorry OP), but did you know that if you had 100% perfect combustion, it would produce pure water? (I just think that's a cool fact to share).

OP, you can Google the torque specs on those bolts, or ask the dealer.
