I couldn't help but notice a mount for what looks like some kind of a cylindrical part just to the left of the power steering fluid reservoir. Does anyone know what this is for? Is it something for other models that doesn't come with our cars?

 

under that side of my cover, I have a bunch of cylindrical wire connectors, that sit in a few of the plastic half circle mounts...
