I've got an issue.....

Specs: 225/40/18.....Width is 8J

2001 A4 1.8TQ with Bilsteins and a set of springs. Lowered suspension!

My question is....Do I need some sort of wheel spacers for these tires and rims to fit? It seems the tires are lodging themselves on my control arms! I had previously used these rims on my 97 A4 FWD with an H&R sport cup suspension and had no issues with the fit! Also, I used the stock(OEM) lug bolts for mounting new rims and was told this could be the issue. Not sure!

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!
