Will stock trans handle horsepower?
ive got a 1997 audi a4 quattro 5 speed manual and was looking into getting some decent horsepower out of the 1.8t. say i get 400 horsepower out of it ideally, will the transmission hold up to that? and other components of the drive train?

Yes the gearbox can take it. You will obviously need a better clutch but the axles and transmission should hold up fine.
