Default Will these springs work?

I found these springs on ebay. It says they fit a 98 AWD but not a 96? Anybody have any idea if they will work for a 96 A4 Quattro?

Seams like those are for a V6. You may not get the advertised drop since the 1.8T is lighter in the front.

Unless of course, you have a V6 which I don't see any problem with them not working.

I have the S-Tech springs on mine. As others mentioned, don't get these if you have the 1.8. The 2.8 is much heavier and thus compresses the springs more.

My A4 is a 2.8L, so Im assuming these will work. I just didnt know if there was a difference between a 1998 A4 AWD 2.8L and a 1996 A4 AWD 2.8L as far as the suspension goes. And these are advertised for a S4 and I didnt know if there was a difference there either.

I noticed you have the S4 struts on your car. I am going back with struts for a A4. Whats the reasoning behind using S4 struts instead? And would I have to use S4 struts with the springs I'm asking about?

No you shouldn't have any issues I believe the any change in the suspension was after the year 2000 B5's

I was using all of the S4 suspension (springs & struts) on my car until I installed these springs. The S4 springs firmed up the ride, but didn't lower the car much. I kept the S4 struts because they are valved differently for the stiffer springs. The S-Tech springs are essentially the same spring rate as the stock S4 springs, just shorter.

Typically lowering springs are much stiffer than the OEM springs and when installed with the OEM struts, they end up being under-damped (bouncy). In terms of physical appearance, the only difference between my S4 struts and the A4 ones is that the S4's are Red and the A4 are black.
