Window switch removal

I plan on painting the side trim around window switches but I dont know how to remove these. It looks like theres little tabs on either side but ive played around with them and dont want to risk breaking one. Anyone know how to remove them?

P.S. I wouldnt recommend doing this I broke two pieces trying to take this off the door panel lol

i painted mine. you basically play around with the clips and push the button out. it took me a while too but they will surely come out. i just used a couple of screw drivers on one side of the button, turned both screw drivers a little bit so the clips kind of loosened and used my other hand to pull the button out. what color you doing them?

Yeah I have same problem before... But my friends already handle that problem soon...

Yeah I got them out thanks im going to paint all four of the plastic pieces on the doors silver so they will match the paint im putting around the shifter. Hopefully it will look good.
