Default WTF is going on with my Check Engine Light

ok guys.. i didnt get the black 2001 A4 B5 the guy wouldnt negotiate the price so i walked.. and bought a maroon 2000 Audi A4 Quattro 5 speed with a 111k on it.. got it for 3500 cant beat that.. but any way moving on to my Q's. of this check engine light all started after i bought it and washed it ( i washed everything under the hood undercarrage everywhere) so i washed it drove a few miles and bam CEL came on. pulled the code and its a p1128 (running to Lean) so i called the dealer who then called his "guy" at AUDI and he said to un hook the battery leave the hood up and let it dry for a few hours. so i did that CEL quit comming on. so i drove it for like 320 miles (full tank of gas) and stopped and got gas (ive been putting 93 in it since i got it)(i stoped at teh gas station before washing it and got 93, filled the tank) the light didnt come on till i washed it.. but now when i get gas i get about 4.5 miles and the light comes on every time.. never fails. i havent pulled the code to check but im going to assume its still the p1128.

the only other things thats wrong with the car as of right now that i can tell (i still need to get it on the lift at work and check it over) is i need a Clutch which is getting put in by the dealer in the next couple of weeks. and the oil dip stick (the plastic tube part) is broke thats getting fixed today. so far thats it.. any and all help would be great! thanks again Guys.

make sure you're tightening the gas cap all the way... just a thought.

assuming its the same code is a bad idea. pull the code and post back. running lean could be MAF-related.

I usually leave mind idling when i get gas just to keep oil circulating around the turbo. Does it run ok besides being in limp mode? choppy/jumpy idle? you could try running a bottle of injector cleaner through it?

Do a boost leak test with the lean code if no leaks good chance it's the MAF, if you seriously just hosed under the hood you fried some ****...
