First off, thanks in advance for help you guys can give.

My wife drives a 2002 A4 3.0 quattro. We've had pretty good luck with the car and its blast to drive. I've been able to keep up with the maint issues myself with real problems up till now.

I had the bearing on the pulley for the A/C go bad and take out the rubber "dampner"(not sure of the correct name) which connects the pulley to the compressor input shaft. Replacing the bearing is no big deal, but I've been trying to locate a new (or used) pulley with a good dampner, has proved to be a challenge.

I can only find complete compressor assemblies, not just the pulley/rubber. Does anyone out there know of a source for this part? If not I may end up making something. Just cant bring myself to spend the $$$ for a whole compressor when I dont need one.

I put the car together with the new bearing but no dampener. This gives mama the car back, but no A/C. Mama is not happy with me....and if mama is not happy no one is happy.
