02 A4 drive train module
 

The engine (1.8t) was replaced in my 02 a4 and it was supposed to be ready today to pickup. well the shop called me and told me that there is some issue with the electronics. unfortunately i don't have a lot of information on it but they say that the car will start and run but the engine light will come on. when they turn the car off it will not start up until they clear the code and then it will start again. they told me that they want to replace the drive train module and that "might" fix it. so any ideas if that's what it could be?

what is the check engine light code?

The ECM and Engine may not be compatible. Whats the fault?
