Question 2002 A4 1.8t Avant Air intake

I am new to the Audi side of the house. I own an 02 A4 1.8t Avant wagon. I was wondering if anyone out there with a similar 1.8t can give some info on K&N air filters vs. Cold air intakes.
Thanks for your time.

our airbox provides sufficent amount of air with a k&n filter. its pointless to spend 300dollars or more on a hotair intake. Unless u get a heatshield.

no point to a CA intake on these cars...think about it air comes in, and passes over a 700 degree plus turbo. Darintake mod if you want to hear more of the spooling sound but on my last b6 I actually noticed a loss in performance with that mod. K&N drop-in is your best bet. These cars have a extremely well designed intake...straight from the factory. Cold airs are beneficial on NA cars not turbo'd.
