Question 2003 A4 crank case hole in hose

Hey, i have a problem with my Audi, i was getting off the freeway and my car started stalling out and i could hear like a whistle blowing which i thought was the turbo howling, my car died at a complete stop and when i started it, it felt like a loss of power and every time i cameto stop my car would die, so i had to pull in the first auto place i was around, they told me i have a hole in my crank case hose, i was wondering if this is a job i can do myself because they want like 600$ to fix this hole and is this symptoms of what my car is doing, can a hole in my crank case hose really give me no power and keep dying like that? I would appreciate the opinions and feedback, thank you.

600 seams a bit much. Any chance you can get a picture of where the hole is/what hose?

If you're referring to the crank case breather hose that comes out of the block and is under the intake manifold it is a tedious job but really not all that difficult.

More info please!

yes it is the breather hose that comes out of the block under the intake manifold, its a pvc pipe that is cracked at the bottom of it, its letting air leak out and causing loss of power, I got a steel epoxy stick and im going to put it on there temporarily to seal the hole

Shoot me a PM if you need replacement parts I'll make sure you get everything you need!

Hopefully the epoxy holds, if not let me know!
