Hey guys, I just recently bought an 03 Audi A4, and have a couple of quick questions .

It has 93000 mi on it, what services should be done immediatley and what is a price range of it?

Also, when in park, my audi idles and the rmp jumps from 700 - 1000 it seems. Once I give it some gas, the problem stops. But I would like to know what is causing this problem .

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

if the timing belt hasn't been done, you need to get that and water pump taken care of asap (typically $800-1200 at an independent shop or dealer.if you go to the dealer look for some sweet service coupons on their website,it saved me a ton of cash).

also while they are in there, the valve cover gasket could be done too as well as cam plugs/seals and any piece of old rubber or plastic that can eventually leak-like the crank case breather valve.all of these components will give way sooner or later,so if half the engine is apart you might as well do all of it for some peace of mind.
