Hi, I've got a fault on my 2004 A4 1.8t. The ESP light is constantly on and has been for a while. Sometimes I am experiencing the abs kicking in when driving slowly and braking. When this happens the ESP light flickers as if the traction control system is intermittantly working. I've been to the local garage, who said they were unable to communicate with the ABS control module, hence couldn't diagnose fault. (Wasn't confident technician was upto speed with VAGCOM).

If anyone else has experienced something similiar then any advise would be very much appreciated, before the expensive trip to Audi beckons!! Thanks.

 

The problem turned out to be a faulty steering angle sensor, for anyone who experiences a similiar problem.
