any of you have an exhaust on your car? heard one on a 3.0 ? what are your opinions?

 

just have magnaflow mufflers on mine. I think they sound pretty good. Not sure about a whole system though...

I've installed a few systems on 3.0L engines, the main thing to remember is no matter what you do the resonator has to come off. Magnaflows, borla, remus ect all sound close to stock if the center resonator is still installed. I've also run straight pipe on the 3.0L which sounds completely bad ***, but it can get annoying. I think a twin set of magnaflows with the resonator removed sounds best.

 

hmm alright, so my choices are down to borla and magnaflow cat backs with the resonators removed, tech, will that throw any codes by removing the resonators?

 

No, only if you remove the cats...........which is a nightmare.

 

lol i remember you telling me that before about the cats, with the resonators, do the just cut off? im not that familiar with exhaust systems... if i were to buy a cat back system by borla or magnaflow would i have to cut the resonators off of those and purchase a stainless pipe to replace them? how does that work lol ik its a dumb few questions but im learnin

 

Does removing the resonators make that big of a difference? I left mine on and I wonder if it would be that much better if I removed it?

 

another 3.0 question lol do any of you have the hyperflow intake? does it make any difference in power or fuel economy? or does it just sound cool? haha
